When you live with someone you notice the habit patterns of their lives. In the morning before everyone else was up and sometimes late into the night, Jesus would slip away from his disciples to find a place to pray. The world the disciples lived in was full of prayers so someone praying shouldn't have captured anyone's attention. But Jesus' connection to the Father was different than anything they had seen before. So they watched and wondered and finally someone asked, "Lord teach us to pray". Luke doesn't tell us which one of the disciples it was who asked. Maybe it's just as well that we don't know because sooner or later it is the question that every real follower of Jesus asks. Today make it yours.
