I will follow you Lord but first let me… Jesus still calls us to come and follow Him, but our lives are so entangled with all kinds of issues and causes. At the close of this first week of spiritual exercise it is a good time to ask what is it that might be keeping us from being wholly devoted followers of Jesus? It’s impossible to plow straight ahead while looking over your shoulder. If we can learn to follow Jesus first then everything else will fall into place. It was Jesus who said that we should, “seek first the Kingdom of God and everything else we need will come our way.” Is there a place where you are saying, “.I will follow You, but first…?” Let it go.
