Again Jesus said, "Peace be with you! As the Father has sent me, I am sending you." And with that he breathed on them and said, "Receive the Holy Spirit. John 20:21-22
In Genesis, scripture tells us that fellowship with God was broken by the sin of our first parents. It’s what the Bible means when it says, “the wages of sin is death"; not only physical death entered the world, but spiritual death as well. The message of Easter is that Jesus takes the penalty for our sin and alienation upon himself and sets us free. So when he says “peace be with you” it’s more than just a nice greeting; it’s a new and living way of life. When God created us in the first place he breathed on us and we became living beings made in his image. Our sin has distorted that image. When we receive the peace of Christ that he provides for us on the cross, the relationship is renewed and his Holy Spirit comes to dwell in our hearts by faith. Quiet your heart this morning before you rush out into your day and hear Jesus say, “Peace be with you!”

It seems as if my heart is willing to be quiet, but my mind runs at warp speed. Being peaceful in this day is the greatest challenge I face. Maybe for the next 10 minutes it will work.

It will work!! Tho a challenge!
"Turn your eyes upon Jesus,
Look full in His wonderful face,
And the things of earth will grow strangely dim,
In the light of HIs glory and grace".

To get alone and focus on God and His mercy for us is... great.
This was written while sitting on a rock north of Challis looking up at the mountain that soared to the clouds.
Peace be with you.

Quietly, I bow in Your awesome presence.
Quietly, I listen to Your voice calming my spirit.
Quietly, I feel Your arms of love surround me.
Quietly, I sit as tears of Joy flow through my soul.
Quietly, quietly.
Quietly, my soul cries out as Your Joy lifts my spirit.
Quietly, my heart sings of Your Glory and Majesty.
Quietly, I experience the Love that only You Oh Lord can give.
Quietly, peace settles over me in the aloneness with You.
Quietly, quietly.
Quietly, Lord, You are the still small voice in the storms of time.
Quietly, I wait for You to move in my spirit.
Quietly, I wait to receive Your direction for me to live.
Quietly, Your love engulfs me, my spirit soars to the utmost heights.
Quietly, quietly.
