Be Encouraged by God’s Word
All you have made will praise you, O lord;
your saints will extol you.
They will tell of the glory of your kingdom
and speak of your might,
so that all men may know of your mighty acts
and the glorious splendor of your kingdom.
— Psalm 139:10-12, NIV
Wisdom from Fellow Pilgrims
Would you know who is the greatest saint in the world: It is not he who prays most or fasts most, it is not he who gives most alms or is most eminent for temperance, chastity or justice; but it is he who is always thankful to God, who wills everything that God wills, who receives everything as an instance of God's goodness and has a heart always ready to praise God for it.
— William Law
Pray Together with Us
O shepherd God . . . lead me into the meadows of remembering. For even when I am in deep trouble I still try to lead. I have a tendency to forget your nearness. I forget the green meadows and the restful waters. I forget the banquet table. I forget the many times you have anointed me with the oil of your devoted guidance. I ignore the gift of your presence and try to do things on my own. Come again into the places of my heart where I most need you.
