The World’s Extravagant Deception
In today’s reading of 1 Thessalonians 4, Paul is addressing this young church about the issue of love, love that is pure. He was reminding them why they needed to not fall into the world’s immorality. It’s a strong reminder for us as well today.
This passage reminds me of the story that Jesus shared about the Father and his two lost sons. Both were searching for love and acceptance of the father. Both turned inwardly in that search, one returns to the father and the other is left in isolation.
It just so happens that this weekend here at TFNAZ were are presenting this very story in our annual Thanksgiving worship musical. I hope that those in the Twin Falls area will be able to join us for this amazing story of God’s redeeming grace and mercy.
