Nursery and Early Childhood

For our youngest of worshippers we have staff and a great group of volunteers that provide a safe and loving environment for birth through age 3.  Our goal is to have your child get to know Jesus early on through their care, play, and simple Bible lessons.

For a parent’s peace of mind, we do have a beeper system that will be given to you on dropping off your child and you will be called in any emergency or need for you.  All of our nursery and early childhood staff have passed national background checks, and are trained in the care and safety of your child.  If you have any questions our nursery coordinator, Mary Beth Welch, would love to talk with you.  Parents are welcome in our nurseries and toddler classes.  As we get to know you better we would encourage you to help out in our nurseries and early childhood areas on a rotating basis.

Sunday Programming

  • 9:30/11:00am Services – Nurseries are open
  • 9:30/11:00 – Classes for ages 2’s and 3’s.
  • 6:00 pm – We have one combined nursery for ages Birth-2
  • 6:00 pm – Class for 3 year olds.

Wednesday Programming

  • 7:00 pm – The Nurseries are open.
  • 7:00 pm – Class for 3 year olds.

Thursday Play Group

  • 9:30 am – An informal time of meeting with other moms and caregivers to let your children play in our gym.  Ages Birth through Kindergarten are welcome. (Infant toys, ride on toys, climbers…)

Early Childhood (Preschool-Kindergarten)

Sunday Programming

  • 9:30 am: Sunday School Class for Preschool-Kindergarten.
    Children experience hands on learning through Bible Story and application.  Children must have turned 4 by September of the current school year to participate in this class.
  • 11:00 am:  J.A.M. Town Worship for Preschool and Kindergarten
    6:00 pm:  Impact Zone/Kids Choir:  Our Preschool/Kindergarten combine with our older children for seasonal choirs and/or video curriculum.

Wednesdays

  • 7:00 pm – Caravan program for Preschool/Kindergarten
    On Wednesdays we offer Benson Buddies, part of our Caravan Christian Scouting Program.  Your child will learn about Jesus and the Church through practical experiences and loving teachers.  Field trips are offered through out the year to places such as the fire station and parks and your child will earn pins as they work their way through the year.  A fee of $30 is required for the year.  This fee covers a hat, pins, teaching material, a shirt, and monthly badge celebrations/snacks.

Thursday Play Group

  • Thursday 9:30 am  – An informal time of meeting with other families, moms, dads, and caregivers as they let their children play and fellowship together in our gym. Children ages Birth through Kindergarten are welcome. (Infant area, ride on toys, climbers)
